Man Allegedly Raped His Grandmother Because He Couldn’t Find a Girlfriend
A man is accused of trying to rape his own grandmother after beating her with a hammer. Samuel Dye is being accused of launching this heinous attack all because he “couldn’t find a girlfriend and wanted to get some.”
Dye was stopped by his father after he heard the screams from the 61-year old woman. The man was caught with his pants down on top of his grandmother and hitting her in the head with the hammer. His father held him until police arrived to their home in Chester, South Carolina.
The attack took place last Thursday at 4 am. The woman says that her grandson showed up at her house in the middle of the night, complaining that he couldn’t find a girlfriend. She then said that he told her that he was going to “get some,” before launching the attack.
Dye’s grandmother asked him to stop and suggested that they pray together. That’s when he pulled his pants down and hit her in the head with the hammer again.
Sheriff Richard Smith says that Dye’s father caught him in the act of raping his mother. Dye is being held at the Chester County Detention Center and being charged with attempted murder and attempted sexual contact. He has no criminal history other than a seat belt violation.
